St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church

Description   Pilsen is located in northern Marion, [MN], county and the only access is by county road. The St. John Nepomucene Catholic church in Pilsen is literally and figuratively the heart of the town and its gleaming spire can be seen for many miles around.
 
History   Pilsen was settled by Czechs and is named for the city of Plzen in Bohemia in the Czech Republic, famous for its beer (among other things).
 
Father Emil Kapuan, who died heroically in the Korean War, was a native of Pilsen.
