R. L. and G. P. Downey, Mgrs. Entered in the Simpson, Kansas postoffice as second class matter. A very interesting game of foot- ball was played here Wednesday between the Simpson High School and Jamestown High School. Simp- son started out on the jump, making a touchdown in the first quarter, but failed to kick goal. Jamestown tied Simpson in the third quarter making the score 6-6. In the last quarter, Simpson kicked a field goal making the final score stand in Simpson's favor 9 to 6. Mr, Henry Schwerman who pur- chased the Simpson Garage recent- ly took possession last Tuesday. Mr. Schwerman has Mr. Fay Beasley as manager who is an all around auto mechanic. Mr. Schwerman will sell Essex cars here. |

Another couple of Simpson's pop- ular young people were united in marriage at the Mitchell County courthouse in Beloit, November 3, 1931 by Probate Judge Wm. Critz. The contracting parties were Miss Mildred Hoffman to Mr. Arnold Ostlund, both of this city. Wednesday November 2, at the Probate Judge's office at Minne- apolis, Miss Clara Ann Kunce was united in marriage to Mr. Frank Krizek. E. E. Vernon has purchased the farm belonging to Joe Shoswalter of near Solomon Rapids, Kansas. |
