March 1, 2013 - St. Gregory's Fish Fry

The Marysville Knights of Columbus and St. Gregory's Catholic School Fish Fry will run from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, March 1st in the Church Hall.  Enjoy great fish, with all the trimmings, and wonderful homemade desserts.

March 2, 2013 - Legislative Forum

The Marysville Chamber of Commerce and AT&T will host a Legislative Forum with area legislators on Saturday, March 2nd.  State Senator Elaine Bowers and State Representative Sharon Schwartz will be on hand with comments and address your questions.  The public is encouraged to attend this Legislative Forum at the Marysville City Hall.  Coffee and rolls will be served at 9:00 a.m. and the forum will begin promptly at 9:30 a.m.

March 2, 2013 thru March 17, 2013 - Judith Scott Art Exhibit "... of big and little ..."

"... of big and little ..." features the art of Judith Scott, minister at Evangelical United Church of Christ in Marysville since 2007.  Since moving to Marysville she has balanced her passion for the church with her passion for the arts.  This exhibit features Scott's new work and shows the progression from preparatory studies to large-scale completed work.  The smallest painting in the exhibit is a one-inch drawing encased in a one-inch cube; and the largest paintings are 57" x 84".  Included in the exhibit are paintings of Kansas landscapes that reflect her love of the heartland. The work in this show also reflects a visual multi-media approach that still is in transition as Scott explores working additional materials into the basic composition. Etchings and paintings predominate the display.  Scott began her adult career as a professional artist and has shown widely in galleries and juried shows. Plans currently are under discussion to take this show on to Minneapolis and Chicago.  The art center is open:

March 10, 2013 - Sons of the Legion Dinner

The Sons of the American Legion are sponsoring a dinner of pan fried chicken and liver & onions on Sunday, March 10th at the American Legion Club.  Serving is from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

March 14, 2013 - American Legion Baseball Soup Day

The annual American Legion Baseball Soup Day will be held on Thursday, March 14th at the American Legion Hall in Marysville.  Serving will be from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.  Come and enjoy delicious homemade soup, sandwiches, pies and desserts.

March 15, 2013 - Lunch With the Arts

Have "Lunch With the Arts" while you enjoy the Judith Scott Art Exhibit "... of big and small ..."  From 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. a variety of soups, relishes, breads and desserts will be served at the Lee Dam Center for Fine Art.  Cost is $5.00.  This show is sponsored by the Marshall County Arts Cooperative.

March 23, 2013 - Easter Egg Hunt  

The Marysville Community Easter Egg Hunt, sponsored by the Marysville Kiwanis Club, will be Saturday, March 23rd at 1:00 p.m. in the Marysville City Park. It is open to children ages 2-9.   For more information contact Ryan Smith at 785-713-1512.

March 26, 2013 - Al Simmons performance

Al Simmons, described as a creative genius with the soul of a vaudevillian, a one-man cast of thousands, and a wizard of one-liners, will be working with local schools, using his talents as an inventive musical comedian to broaden the students' understanding of the elements of music.   In addition to his work with the school, there will be a public performance on March 26th at 7:00 p.m. at the Waterville Opera House.  Admission is free.  Al Simmons is sponsored by the Marshall County Arts Cooperative.
