Materials and Equipment Available
 

Books - over 32,000, all types for all ages, including special sections for new books, westerns, mystery, science fiction, large print, and bilingual.

Magazines - 90 subscriptions, retained 5 years for research programs.

Newspapers -subscriptions to Lyons Daily News, The Hutchinson News, The Wichita Eagle, Great Bend Tribune, and The Wall Street Journal. Others available online or through databases.

Rotating Book Collection - 250 books exchanged bi-monthly through the South Central Kansas Regional Library System

Framed Art Prints - available for six-month checkout.

Audio-Visual Collection - includes videos, audiobooks, records, CDs, and DVDs.

Audio-Visual Equipment - typewriter, polaroid cameras, slide projector and screens, opaque and overhead projectors, filmstrip, 8mm, and 16mm film projectors, and CD, cassette, and record players all available for checkout except for typewriter which is for inhouse use only.

Programs
 

Kansas Day Program - held every January. Book Discussion Series - as announced. Family events - as announced. Nursery Rhyme Tyme - as announced for toddlers 2 years old Storytime - for children 3-5 September to May Summer Reading Program - for children 3 years old through 5th grade. Reference Service - for help in answering quick questions, or for in-depth research on term reports and term papers.
Interlibrary Loan - Provides access to materials in other libraries across the state or the U. S. A.
Talking Books - Information about free library programs available for patrons with physical or visual problems.
Outreach Service - provides delivery of library materials to housebound individuals.
