Lyndon, the county seat of Osage (OS) County, is located on Highway 75 about 27 miles south of Topeka, in northeast Kansas. It is situated between to Federal reservoirs; Pomona Lake, 5 miles north and Melvern Lake, 5 miles south.
 

• There is a self guided tour of twenty-two historical places. A small booklet describing the tour can be picked up at the Osage County Historical Society and some of the businesses for $1.00. A shortened version of the guide is available online.

  

• The Lyndon Carnegie Library is the smallest of the Carnegie libraries still being used; it's a tiny gem. The Genealogy Society is housd in the library.

• There is a new community center located on the south edge of town which is used to hold meetings and host parties.

• Recreation for children such as softball, basketball, swimming, 4-H, Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts.

• Rodeo Events at the Lyndon Saddle Club.

• There is an RV Park 2 miles north of town on Highway 75 for overnight stops.

• During the summer, enjoy watching motorcycle cross events located 5 miles north of town on Highway 75.
