Lincoln, the county seat of
Lincoln [LC] county, is situated
on rolling hills overlooking the Saline River.
The post rock buildings in downtown Lincoln are beautiful. The county
courthouse was built in 1900 out of local limestone.
Highways K-14 and K-18 meet on the north side of town. One of the major local industries is quarrying quartzite. Lincoln celebrates Lincoln's Birthday in a big way on President's Day weekend in February. |
