Lebo has made a significant investment in the sport of fishing over the last few years.

The Lebo City Lake was re-opened to fisherman in May of 2000. You may obtain a license from City Hall Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. On weekends and evenings, you will have to venture to the Dean Knight Oil Company at 3rd and Ogden or at the new bait shop located North of Lebo near Sundance boat ramp on Melvern Lake. The new bait shop is called Sundance Bait Shop & Boat Storage. Permits may be obtained from them any day of the week.

Annual fishing/boating permit: $6.00 15 years of age and under - $12.00 16 years of age and over

We would like to ask and remind all fishermen & women to please clean up their area after fishing as to keep our lake as beautiful as it was when you arrived. Thank you!

To Fishing info

Lebo has three parks dedicated to family fun, peace and relaxation and sports. Lebo parks offer families an opportunity to gather to relax or play. The Jones Youth Park on the north side of town offers two ball diamonds, tennis courts, a basketball court, the Lebo Wolves home football field and a refreshment stand that is open during most athletic events. The Ye Olde City Park on the west end of town provides fishing for youngsters as well as an extra ball diamond and a large shelter house equipped for all your picnicking needs. Play equipment provides entertainment for the youngsters as well as a U.S. Army tank displayed as a memorial to all local veterans.

In 2001, a new shelter house was erected in the southern part of the city. It was designed to accommodate family gatherings. Along with restroom facilities, it provides shelter from the seasons but yet opens to the outside to bring in the nice weather!

The City Pool is a great place to cool off in the summer months. The pool opens a little before school gets out and closes a month after school starts up in the fall. The pool also includes Aquacise classes.
