| Jewell is blessed with great possiblities for outdoor sports. The grain fields around Jewell offer some of the excellent pheasant hunting that Kansas is famous for. Just eight miles north and west of Jewell, the Jewell County State Fishing Lake offers fishing and camping. The Lovewell reservoir is a few miles north and Waconda Lake is a few miles south. If you enjoy the outdoors, Jewell is a great place to be.
