The Saturday before Memorial Day, graudates of Jewell High School gather in Jewell

Corn Show This three day, celebration, the second weekend in October has been happening for over 50 years. Thursday, exhibits of crops, garden crops, flowers, fine arts, crafts, and booths are put on display in the community Center. Friday night football, sometimes homecoming, add to the festivities. Saturday is the big day starting with a fun run and craft show. This is followed by a parade and barbecue. Games, contests, and entertainment follow in the City Park. The event closes with a home talent program on Saturday night at the high school.
