| Special Events: | Fireman's Fun Day
An annual event held the last Saturday in August to benefit the local volunteer fire department. Festivities include a parade, kids' tractor pull, cake walk, health fair, cow patty bingo and much more. The firemen from surrounding communities compete for a trophy in an event using their firefighting skills. Hamburgers, hot dogs and Polish sausages with all the fixings are served for lunch. Kolaches and pies are served for dessert. All of the days' events are topped off with a feast of locally grown pork, with a hog roast prepared by the firemen, an auction of donated items and a dance. A full day of fun events to support our local volunteer fire department, Fireman's Fun Day has become a local tradition. |
