  Brown County 4-H Fair

The 4-H Fair is held in Horton, KS in mid-July.

  Maple Leaf Festival

Hiawatha's annual Maple Leaf Festival is a big event held the first Saturday in October. That same day is Heritage Day at the Brown County Agriculture Museum with demonstrations and a petting zoo.

  Halloween Frolic

Since 1914, Hiawatha has celebrated Halloween in a big way, making it an all-day festival. Folks there say it's the oldest Halloween festival in the country.
