The new streetscape for downtown has begun and is scheduled to be finished late summer or early fall. The Incubator building has started accepting occupants. The City Building is taking shape and has already won awards for its green design.

Centera Bank has broke ground and construction should begin soon. Construction has begun on the new school and the hospital. Dwane Shank Motors is complete. The Courthouse building is on schedule and should be complete late May or June. All of these are building to "green" standards. Very energy efficient buildings. The John Deere dealership is building a LEED certified building, with wind power. <

Other projects that are looking for partners to fill the funding gaps are the BIG Well Museum, The Kiowa County Commons (library, historic museum, media center and extension office. Great things are happening in Greensburg!

Many people have asked about the 1,000 pound Brenham Meteorite that was in the Big Well Museum. It is on loan to another museum in Kansas and will return to Greensburg when the Big Well Museum is complete.
