* Dogs

  • All dogs over the age of six months must be licensed; contact the city clerk for information on this
  • No residence shall have more than two dogs
  • All dogs shall be confined or restrained; the Police Chief, Police Officer, and the Public Works Director are authorized to pick up any dog running at large and a pickup fee of $15.00 will be charged to the owner.

* City Utility Bills

  • The City of Goessel bills for water, sewer and trash pick-up
  • Water is $7.00 for 1,500 gallons + $2.00 per 1,000 additional gallons up to 10,000 gal. and $2.25 thereafter
  • A $40 nonrefundable connection fee is required for all new customers
  • Sewer is based on the average water usage for Jan., Feb., Mar, with a min. charge of $7.00 plus an additional $.20 per 100 gals.
  • Trash carts are required and provided by Stutzmans Refuse Disposal Inc. Cost for the 60 gallons cart is $9.35 and $10.05 for a 90 gallons cart per month. Cost includes pickup fee, and administrative fee. Stutzman Refuse Disposal - 620-327-4088
  • Bills are sent on or about the first of each month and are due by the 10th of that month with a late fee added to the remaining balance on the 11th
  • Water service is disconnected on the 21st if no payment is received
  • A $30 reconnect fee is charged to have service restored
  • Payments can be made by mail or by placing them in the utility payment box on the East side of the Goessel Civic Center
  • The city office is open 8:00-5:00 Monday-Friday. (Closed daily from 12-1)
  • The Public Works shop is located just to the north of the Fire Station; the Public Works Director is not always in the building
  • Trash pick-up is on Tuesday mornings

* Leaves And Brush Disposal

  • The City of Goessel has a burn ordinance in effect that prohibits any burning other than for cooking purposes.
  • A tree limb and brush disposal site is located at 400 S. Summit - south of West Branch Park.
  • This facility is locked; residents need to obtain a key from any city council member, the city clerk, or the public works director.
  • A compost area is also at this same site to accept leaves and grass clippings; this compost is available to city residents when it is ready
  • Special Yellow bags can be purchased for $1.00 at the City Office for pick-up by Stutzman Refuse Disposal Co. on special yard waste pickup days. Bags need to be placed at the curb by 11:00 a.m. on the scheduled day of pick-up.
