Whether you are a tourist or looking to locate in Kansas, the City of Ellsworth invites you to take a look at our attractive and thriving area community.
Located 35 miles west of Salina, Ellsworth is centrally located seven miles south of I-70 and 33 miles west of I-35. Passing through the community are state highways 14, 140, and 156. The Union Pacific Railroad runs through the town, and we have an airport. We are served by Federal Express, UPS, and US Mail Express.
Ellsworth Medical Center has been completed along with a new Wellness Center which we are very proud of. Renovations were made to our existing swimming pool to make it literally "brand new" with a wonderful slide. We have three parks with different facilities in each for your enjoyment.
In the past few years, we have gained new restaurants, a bed and breakfast, and several new retailers in downtown Ellsworth. Most of these businesses are offering an array of goods that are 19th century oriented and tourism-based.
Ellsworth has a rich history as the "wickedest cowtown in the west." We already have many events and attractions which are based on this past. We are in the process of renovating some of the old buildings in the downtown area. Come and see what we have to offer!
Excellent events and attractions, rolling hills and bluffs, nearby state lakes, one of the best golf courses in central Kansas, good schools, friendly faces: all of these make Ellsworth, Kansas a wonderful place to live and work.
