It was located on a acre of land purchased from Mr. Allen Painter and wife for the sum of $3.50. the date of the deed was July 16, 1883. By 1889-90 the enumerator found fifty-seven persons aged five to twenty-one residing within the district. Enrollment fell however and the year of 1945-46 saw Mrs. Willard Evans teaching six children.
