Forever Love

Author James E. Foster
Published with The National Library of  Poetry in the Year 1997

To you I give this rose to show,
the love in us nourished to grow.

Into each day and out it flows,
Your face it glows the red of rose.

My heart it fills with feelings strong,
the sight of you there is no wrong.

Your lips to mine our souls as one,
our lives together beneath the sun.

Thus grasp us fast as winds pass through,
before love leaves without a clue.

For swift it will to pass us by,
as swept away can make one cry.

Remember always this day of few,
this sprout of love this rose of true.

And peace upon the dove that flies,
this rose I give will never die.

For each day in and each day out,
a love forever blooms with no doubt.

The brightness shines endless above,
there is no other you are my love.
