Nixon moved to have Rupe proceed with the grant application. Schneweis seconded with all in favor. |
| Dept. head reports. |
Mayor Urban complimented the city crew and the
police department on the good work done for the "All School Reunion".
Per Hayes, the streets are in pretty good shape this year. With the street fund receiving less funding from the state, the city may need to start sealing every two years instead of every year. Hayes will talk to the county and get several bids for street sealing. This will be re-addressed at the July meeting. No response has been received from the property owners of 411 2nd Street, concerning the removal of the dilapidated garage. The city will tear down the garage and the cost of the demolition will be billed to the property owners. If not paid, the bill will be placed on their tax roll. If there is no asbestos present, the city crew will do this demolition. The police department sponsored Summer Safety Day at the park was a success. The transmission has gone out on the Intrepid. A rebuilt transmission from Bob’s Service Center will cost about $2700.00 with a 3 year or 100,000-mile warranty. After discussion, Hubbard moved to rebuild the transmission for $2700.00. Nixon seconded with all in favor. |
| City Web Site. | Justin Rupe has been working on the city’s web site for a year. He has a small license fee bill that he will present to the city. |

| School/district office. | Tabled to July meeting. |
| Recreation Commission. |
Following is a partial list of repairs needed at
the baseball field:
