Library

The Cawker City Public Library was started in 1874 by a group of local businessmen with books kept in a local law office. It was turned over to the women of the town and incorporated as the Hesperian Library in 1884, making it one of the oldest in the state of Kansas.

The library is open six days a week with varying hours and gives space to the North Central Kansas Genealogical Society. The current librarian is Stacy Koster
