The nice brick Main street was laid in 1926. Plentiful shade trees are conducive to walking.

•  There's a shady city park beside highway K383 at the east edge of town and Bantam Park on Walnut Street has playground equipment for small children and picnic facilities.
• Sunflower Pioneer Power grounds are located in the block at the north end of town between Ives and Washington Streets.  Many antique farm machines are housed there, and a growing number of unique windmill heads are on display.
• See the wooden bicycle in the Antique Emporium. It was built by a local citizen around the turn of the century.
