Description   Agra is located on US 36 in Phillips, [PL], County.  The Kyle Railway also serves Agra. The town has gained some notoriety since humorists added the letters "vi" before the name on the watertower.
History   Agra was possibly named for the Indian city where the Taj Mahal is located.  There are other versions for the source of the name, however, one being that the town was named after the daughter of an official of the Rock Island Railroad, perhaps one of the daughters of President Low of the Chicago, Kansas and Nebraska Railroad that ran through the town at that time.
Historical images of Agra from WSU's Ablah Library are available online.
