The Centenary

Ring out glad bell, ring out glad bell,
The centenary move to tell
To every home in every land,
For Christ's democracy's at hand.
Proclaim a liberty to all,
Redeemed through Christ from
Adam's fall;
A union of His love and power
Has come to us in this glad hour.
Christian crusade will be the theme,
Columbus, Ohio, June 1919.

Some men who felt the world need
pause
And try to follow Christian laws;
That time was ripe to call for men
To make this old world safe again.
And so a movement then began
To widen^___'twas a band of men;
They talked, they prayed, they
brought to view
"I am my brother's keeper." You
May not sit down and fold your
hands
And let Bolsheviki rule the land.

The world is ready for the cause
Of Christian democratic laws.
And now to us that peace is given,
We must unite for Christian living.
For tithing we should now begin
And also search for minute men.
Vast time and money must be spent
For brothers that they may repent.

Glad bells ring peace, glad bells ring
peace,
Ring in the time when wars will
cease,
Ring in the time the church unites,
To banish wrong, uphold the right.
The movement will gain power each
day
When we unite to work and pray.
