Smithsonian Museum on Main Street exhibit
Featured at the Glasco Corner Store, Glasco, Kansas
August 14 - September 27, 2009
Journey Stories, is a traveling Smithsonian Institution exhibition that will be touring Kansas 2009-2010. Kansas was selected as one of only 5 states to host this premier
exhibition examining the history of American transportation.
The Glasco Community Foundation was selected by Kansas Humanities Council for this honor.
Their part of the exhibit will feature the History of U. S. Highway 24 through the Solomon Valley.
Journey stories - tales of how we got "here" - are as American as apple pie. Why did our ancestors come to America? Why did our families choose Kansas as home?
