In 2002, for the first time ever, KLF presented Distinguished Leadership Awards to its members.  People were invited to nominate:

1) A Leadership Professional or Volunteer, and/or
2) A Collegiate Student,

who has made outstanding contributions to the leadership of their state, region, or community.  The winners were selected by a panel of reviewers and announced at the annual KLF conference.  

2007 Distinguished Leadership Award Winner:

2006 Distinguished Leadership Award Winner:
Ron Wilson, Huck Boyd National Institute for Rural Development, Manhattan

2005 Distinguished Leadership Award Winners:

2004 Distinguished Leadership Award Winners:
Clare Gustin, Sunflower Electric, Hays
Emily Meissen, KSU Leadership Ambassador, Wichita

2003 Distinguished Leadership Award Winners:
