“Plotting Your Novel”
In March Pat Davids, a USA Today bestselling author, will be talking about Plotting Your Novel No Matter What Genre You Write In. Pat is from Kansas and graduated from St. Joseph School of Nursing. His Bundle of Love, her first book, was published in 2004. In May, 2013, she received an award from Romantic Times for the best love-inspired novel for 2012. Thorndike press has picked up two of her last books, Plain Admirer and Amish Christmas Joy, which will be released in hardback. She has just released a new title, A Ranch for His Family, which she published under the author name of Hope Novarra.
District meetings are open to KAC members and the public without charge.

“Everyone Has a Story to Tell”
Katie Funk Wiebe was our speaker. Katie is professor emeritus of Tabor College. She recently held a workshop at KAC's annual convention in Wichita and was kind to share her insights again with us in District 5. This meeting was held at Larksfield Place, 7373 E. 29th St. N., Wichita, at 2:00PM.

“Everything I Have Learned”
Members were encouraged to come prepared to discuss everything they have learned in their writing careers, whether it be short stories, poetry, memoirs, novels, or newspaper articles. The group also discussed what they wanted to learn more about in 2014.
