“Creative Workshops” 1:30-4:30 p.m.
September 8th promises to be an afternoon to remember. One of our most popular events is our annual Creative Workshops held outdoors amid the splendor of Botanica - The Wichita Gardens.
A meet and greet started at 1:30 p.m. followed from 2-4:30 p.m. by a choice of two workshops: Creative Writing, with Nancy Avery, and Photography, with Paulette Mattingly. A short break was followed by two workshop choices of: Poetry, with Roy Beckeymeyer, and Getting Started with Your Memoirs, with Dixie Brown. There is no charge for the workshops, but there was a special KAC group admission fee to enter Botanica. Earlier that same day, there was an important Convention Planning meeting, also at Botanica, about our 2013 KAC convention. Chairs are Cindi Kerr and Janet Bahl.
D5 took a slight siesta for July & August. Things are quiet on the home front for now, but there's a lot happening behind the scenes in planning for the 2013 KAC Convention in Wichita.
