Kansas Authors Club Bookroom
The Bookroom sold books by Kansas Authors Club members. Some authors offered convention discounts. Book signings by convention speakers and Kansas Authors Club members were scheduled in the Bookroom throughout the convention: a wonderful opportunity to buy works by fellow Kansas authors.
Kansas Authors Book Signings
Book signing slots were made available during Bookroom hours for attending Kansas Authors Club members and conference speakers only in half hour and one-hour slots, first come, first served basis. A sign up board was available outside the book room during the conference. Preference was given for speakers at the conference.
Collectible Books by Kansas Authors & Silent Auction
A number of books by William Allen White and other Kansas Authors were offered and sold by silent auction in the Bookroom. Delightful objects of art and other items were also auctioned. Proceeds were to be used to support the convention.
Used Books for Endowment Fund
Donated used books not appropriate for the Collectible Books Silent Auction were made available at the Used Books table in the Bookroom, including titles on writers and the writing craft. Receipts in the donations jar are added to the Kansas Authors Club Endowment Fund each year.
Donations to Convention Tax-Deductible
Registration cost of this historical educational event for authors and the public is being kept affordable by contributions. Monetary donations to the convention were tax deductible. Donations of goods and services were also welcomed. Kansas Authors Club is a not for profit corporation organized in the state of Kansas for educational purposes. The Kansas Authors Club District 1 Fund is a fund with the Topeka Community Foundation, a 501(c) (3) organization, Federal Tax ID # 48-0972106. All donors will be listed on the web site and, if time allows, on the convention program.
Exhibitors’ Tables
Several exhibitors displayed materials at tables located near the hotel dining room. The displays offered goods and services of interest to writers.

Thanks to Alice Flower for the vision and editing of this commemorative volume. It is 250 pages, including 193 submissions of fine writing by our members. It would make a wonderful gift for family and friends. A limited edition of 200 books will be available for sale.
Raymond Nelson was charged with book distribution at the registration desk at the convention.
