In the impressive courtroom, the museum visitor will find
oak woodwork, stained glass windows and the original seats for spectators,
each with a hat holder under the seat. Children enjoy banging the gavel at the
judge's bench.
Also on view are sketches of the construction of the
courthouse, baptismal fonts from early churches, equipment used in the gypsum
mines around Blue Rapids and promotional items from county businesses.
The museum also has re-creations of a
country school, medical and dental offices, and a newspaper print shop.
Suggested donation to visit the museum is
$2.00. Children are free.
