This directory provides a searchable database of over 70,000 American Elementary and Secondary schools.

ASK ERIC LESSON PLANS
This site provides extensive lessons plans in the following subject areas:  Arts, Math, Educational Technology, Physical Education, Foreign Language, Science, Health, and Social Studies.  Educators are encouraged to submit their lesson plans.

BIGCHALK
bigchalk delivers learning resources to 43,000 schools in the U.S. and abroad.

BLUEWEB'N
Blue Web'N is an excellent Internet site searchable by:  Content Table,  Subject Area, or Refined Search.

EDUCATION PLACE
Education Place provides K-8 instructional materials with an emphasis on Math, Social Studies, Reading, and Language Arts.  Special sections are included for children and their parents. 

FACT MONSTER
Homework help for children aged 9-14. Subject areas include World & News, U.S., People, Word Wise, Science, Math, Sports, Cool Stuff, Games & Quizzes, and Homework Center.

FIFTY STATES AND CAPITALS
Fifty States and Capitals offers extensive information on each state, plus five U.S. territories, and the District of Columbia.  Included are links and images for state birds, flags, songs, flowers, trees, maps, license plates, and symbols.

GLOBAL SCHOOLHOUSE
Global Schoolhouse provides numerous resources for students, teachers, and parents.  Internet instructional guides are provided.

KANSAS EDUCATION RESOURCE CENTER (KERC)
Contains lesson plans and resources for teachers to use in aligning classroom instruction and assessment to Kansas' academic standards.

KATHY SCHROCK'S GUIDE FOR EDUCATORS
This site is organized into three sections:  Subject Access, Search Engines, and Additional Information.  This guide is useful for enhancing curriculum and teacher professional growth.

KIDS WEB
Kids Web offers specially selected information targeted at K-12 level.  This comprehensive resource library is divided into four categories:  Arts, Science, Social Studies, and Miscellaneous and includes Homework Help.

LIBRARY IN THE SKY
Library in the Sky contains over 1,600 links to educational resources.  The informational options include:  Former Picks of the Week, Student Resources, Teacher Resources, Parent Resources, and Librarian Resources.

Math Central is an Internet site for math teachers to share resources, a service to teachers, students, and parents who need math assistance, and a facility for teachers to discuss mathematical issues.

This site "is the primary federal entity for collecting and analyzing data that are related to education in the U.S. and other nations."

ONLINE SCHOOLYARD-COMCAST
Online Schoolyard offers numerous educational links to children K-8; this site reviews the links for quality and safety.  Subject areas include:  Arts, Computers. English, Languages, Health and PE, Math, Science, and Social Sciences. 

PBS KIDS
This is the home of PBS Kids characters with thousands of pages of learning and fun to explore. Information for all PBS kids' shows, including Arthur, Barney, and Teletubbies.

TEACHERS' DOMAIN
"Teachers' Domain is a multimedia digital library for K-12 teachers and students. You'll find an extensive collection of classroom-ready resources, as well as media-rich lesson plans and professional development resources. Each resource is catalogued by grade level and correlated to national and state standards." -- From the Teachers' Domain introductory tour. The Web site focus on the sciences and civil rights. Site requires free user registration.

TERRITORIAL KANSAS ONLINE This site is a joint project of the Kansas State Historical Society and the Kansas Collection, University of Kansas Libraries. It details the "Bleeding Kansas" period of Kansas history from 1854-1861, and is targeted at middle and high school students and teachers. It includes lesson plans tied to the state's Kansas and U.S. history standards.

WEATHERWEB:  WEATHER RESOURCES FOR SCHOOLS
