Scurry Up and READ!

February is Family Reading Month, and this year we want you to "Scurry Up and READ!" It's a pet theme complete with pet games, activities, crafts and snacks! Come join us at Emporia Public Library beginning Saturday, February 2nd at 3:00 p.m. to get registered for this playful reading program. When you family signs up, they will receive a book bag filled with lots of fun stuff that your family can use during Family Reading Month.

Family Reading Month is designed to encourage families to read together and to keep track of all your reading minutes in a Reading Time Booklet. Families who read the most minutes are eligible for prizes! If your family completes their reading time booklet before the month is over, that's okay! We have Overtime Reader Sheets for your family to use so you can keep reading all month long! Those Overtime Reader Sheets can be turned in anytime during the month and your family can have as many as you need. Grand prizes for the top reading families will be awarded at the Grand Prize Party on Saturday, March 2nd at 3:00 p.m.
