The statewide goal for the week is to read to every Kansas child between the ages of 0-5 years old!
The 2012 Kansas Reads to Preschoolers Week will feature the story “Lola Loves Stories”, written by Anna McQuinn. This book will be read aloud at public libraries, preschools, child care centers, and child care homes in Emporia and Lyon County during the week of November 11th - 17th.
Families are invited to visit the Emporia Public Library on Tuesday, November 13th from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. for a special Family Night @ the Library and Family Fun Night. The evening will include stories, crafts, activities, and a snack. This event will be presented in cooperation with the Lyon County Child and Family Development Task Force.
