Butler
County Library Outreach
Mission
The Butler
County Library Outreach program provides library services to meet the
informational, recreational, and educational needs of senior citizens,
homebound residents of all ages in El Dorado, and the physically and
visually challenged in Butler County.
What
is Outreach?
The
Butler County Library Outreach program is located at the Bradford Memorial
Library. The Outreach staff travels regularly to various locations,
maintaining a rotating collection of items from which residents can
choose at their convenience. Specific requests are filled when possible
either from the Outreach collection, the Bradford Memorial Library's
collection, or through Interlibrary Loan.
Materials
Provided
The Outreach
program provides large print books, videos, audios, special formats,
as well as items from the regular print collection.
Audio Readers
and Talking Books are also available.
Outreach has
developed a collection of special activities to serve the needs of Alzheimer
and Dementia patients in both the institutional and home environment.
Outreach works
with activity directors to provide services in the form of games, activities,
and other nontraditional materials.

The Outreach
program is funded primarily by the Butler
