Nondestructive testing, the examination of an object or material without affecting its future usefulness, offered at CCCC, is unique to the state and one of three such programs in the region.
CCCC has the first Fiber Optic in the state in which a community college has been linked to a fiber optic system. The fiber optic classroom and laboratory will make it possible for students in other school districts to access teachers and classes at Cowley. Business and industry will be able to use the center to access conferences and seminars nationally. Public Schools The value the citizens of Cowley County place on education is readily apparent in their schools. The two largest school districts are USD 465 in Winfield and USD 470 in Arkansas City. As examples of this emphasis; the Winfield district is well known for its program rich curriculum and the Arkansas City Schools are in the midst of a comprehensive program of facility upgrades. All area schools offer broad curriculum choices to meet the needs of all their students. Arkansas City and Winfield are among five area schools working with Cowley College in the School to Work initiative. This program helps all students become aware of the full spectrum of career choices throughout their education. Other Colleges/Universities
