Arts & Entertainment - The Marshall County Arts Cooperative
has a mission of planting artistic seeds that will truly inspire individuals and communities to
experience the arts in new and exciting ways. They sponsor the Marshall County Community
Band, the Marshall County Community Choir and bring in famous artists year round for the school
children and the community to experience and enjoy.
Fitness Center/Health Club - Marysville Health & Fitness, 816 Center Street
is a full service health club, including a racquetball court and a juice bar. / 562-2424
Golf - The Marysville Country Club
is located at 1070 Pony Express Hwy. They are a semi-private club with golfing,
a swimming pool, a restaurant and a lounge. / 562-2296
Hiking & Biking - Winding through wooded areas, grassland vistas and fields of corn and soybeans, the Blue River Rail Trail is open for walkers,
joggers and bicyclists. The 2 mile trail offers views of the river, wildlife sightings and the music of songbirds. With a surface of crushed
limestone screenings the trail will eventually meet with the Homestead Trail at the Nebraska border. Directions: At the US 36 Highway &
8th Street stoplight, travel North approximately 1 mile. At the T in the road, turn left and follow the road to the Trail Head.
Hunting - Kansas Hunting Adventures provides hunts for trophy big game in Northeast Kansas.
They are located at 112 East Hazelwood in Waterville. / 363-2327
Miniature Golf and Games - The Dawg House is located at 1163 Pony Express
Hwy. / 562-3200.
Movie Theaters - The Astro Theatre
is located at 820 Center Street and has 3 screens. / 562-3715.
Roller Skating - Club 36 is located just east of town on Highway 36. Saturdays 5:30-7:00 p.m. (beginners or near beginners) and 7:00-9:00 p.m. (open skating) / 629-8122

Tennis - Public tennis courts are located in the City Park at 10th & Walnut Street.
Theatre Productions -
Marysville Area Community Theatre is a non-profit, all volunteer organization.
M-ACT has produced more than 25 musicals and over 40 other productions for audiences in Marshall
County and the surrounding area since 1963, with over 650 participants. M-ACT
provides a stage for participants of all ages to explore the world of live theater.
You can enjoy 3 productions a year.
Volleyball - There are public sand volleyball courts located near the
entrance to Lakeview Sports Complex and in the City Park by the tennis courts.

Public Parks
Marysville has numerous public parks.

The City Park is located just 3 blocks south of the intersection of Highways 77 and 36.
It boasts plenty of shade, a wonderful swimming pool, tennis courts, picnic area,
new theme playground, gazebo, auditorium, public rest rooms and several historical
buildings that can be toured. In addition, you may camp with electricity at
City Park free of charge.
The Country Club Lake is located just north of Highway 36 with an entrance
from 20th Street. It offers a small playground, a sandy area,
fishing and is a great area for kite flying!
Dargatz Park is located on 15th Street a few blocks north of Highway 36.
Enjoy a playground for children, two baseball fields, basketball courts and a picnic
shelter.
Lions Park, located at the intersection of 16th and North Streets
is pictured above. Lions Park has plenty of shade, 2 large shelters with electricity
for picnics, a basketball court and a playground. New trails and gazebos are
coming to life in Lions Park.
