Poetry of Kansas

Moon-Bride

Silver pins
In her pale, shining hair
Anchor a misty cloud-veil
A billowing gossamer train
Edged with fleecy lace
And embroidered with star-jewels
As, high in the silver sky,
The pallid moon-bride
Waits for her betrothed.
