How Little Jack Saved The Train.
Forty miles an hour;
Just ahead a bridge was burning,
Beyond control or power.
Little Jack then saw the danger,
And he ran with all his might,
Waving a red handkerchief
Till the train was right in sight.
Then a brakeman saw the signal,
And he turned the throttle bar
Just in time to avert tho danger
In the distance and not far.
Little Jack was then rewarded
For his courage true and bold,
And he wears a pretty medal
With his monogram in gold.
