Poetry of Kansas

Oh, If I Were a Dogfish.

Oh, if I were a dogfish in the sea,
I'd chase the catfish up a coral tree;
And if I saw a school of minnows slim,
I'd join them that I might be in the swim.
But if I were a shark, in English too,
I'd surely write more couplets than these few.
