Poetry of Kansas

By And By.

Man's love for woman
Is alike the world over;
Woman loves man
For protection and a home.
All things being equal
There is no reason why
That they should not marry
In the sweet by and by.
Marriage is a contract;
Two hearts beat as one__
For the better, we hope__
Time only can tell.
If poverty should enter,
Then everybody shouts
It's easy to get married
But its h_ll to keep house.
