AND STOCK RAISING IN WESTERN KANSAS,
EVIDENCED BY THE PURCHASE OF NEARLY
100,000 ACRES FROM THE KANSAS PACIFIC
RAILROAD, HELPED PROMOTE THE EARLY
DEVELOPMENT OF THIS REGION.
