Kansas Council of Genealogical Societies
PO
Box 3858 |
Kansas Council of Genealogical Societies provides a web site to serve as an instrument for communication and educational opportunities among all societies that have an interest in preserving and disseminating historical and genealogical information. The Council encourages the preservation of manuscripts, books, records, etc. and making them as easily accessible to researchers through all genealogical/historical facilities. The web site also provides a means of sharing ideas and promoting publications, research tours, workshops and other scheduled events of interest to genealogists; and provides applications for Forgotten Settlers Certificates and the Family History Genealogy Awards.
If you are looking for someone to do research in Kansas for you please contact a society in the county you are interested in or the Kansas State Historical Society. KCGS does not have a library.
