February 13, 1902 (Thursday)

ROCKY POINT: John Conner and family and Harry Moore and wife visited at Louis Conner’s Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Tennyson went to Wichita Tuesday morning for a visit with their grandchildren.

OSAGE VALLEY: Mr. Davis from MO visited his cousin Carey Meffed the first of the week.

J.F. Wolfe, Sam Pitts, Don Wolfe and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Williams were up from the Marmaton the last of the week.

Charles Wolfe and wife of Ind. Terr. are visiting his father J.J. Wolfe.

C.C., J.J. and B.L. Wolfe sold their goods and stock Friday preparatory to start for Oregon the first of March.

Born to Mr. and Mrs. Bert Wolfe, January 31st, a daughter. Both mother and child doing well.

EVE: Mr. Ballard Patterson spent a few days last week with his sister Mrs. R.H. Davis.

L. Pardom spent Thursday with his daughter Mrs. J.M. Davis.

Born to Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Pipinger on Saturday Feb 8, a girl.

Died. J.T. Spurgeon died February 1, 1902, of heart failure at Rocky Ford Colorado. The remains were shipped to Bronson, arriving here Monday. The deceased formerly resided in Xenia and was a member of the M.W.A. Lodge, carrying some $500 life Insurance in that order. Interment was made in Xenia Cemetery.
