From: Sharlene Miller smiller@ccp.com
Date: Thursday, December 28, 2000 03:06 PM

Would like more information about Samuel Beaman who married Liza Gall nee Steen also known as Maria Elizabeth Steen.

I believe that Liza Gall's husband John Zachariah Gall died during the Civil War and Samuel Beaman married her at Ft. Scott, Bourbon Co., KS on 11 Feb 1863. Sam was born 1828 in IN. Liza was also born in 1828, but in Jackson Co., OH.

If you work on the Beaman, Gall or Steen families I would like to correspond.

Topic: Coffman family
From: Mary Mcintosh marymcintosh@netzero.net
Date: Friday, December 08, 2000 06:57 AM

I am interested in the Coffman family from the Ft. Scott area ca. 1880 on. I am interested particularly in brothers Ira, Lemuel, and George Earl (my grandfather) and their parents, whom I believe to have been James and Sarah Alberts Coffman. I have found marriage licenses for Ira and Lemuel. Allied family names include Rook, Hallengren, and Hazlett. I believe that there was also a sister, name unknown at present, for these men.

Any assistance is appreciated.

Topic: Hale burials around Mapleton
From: Irene Hale hale@reborn.com
Date: Tuesday, December 05, 2000 01:41 AM

Looking for members of the Hale family buried around Mapleton. I had checked the listings at Ft. Scott in August, but have recently been told that Almarine Hale (d. between 1900-1910), William Suell Hale (d. bet. 1930-1936) and John P. Hale (d. after 1936) would probably have been buried there. Does anyone know if this is true? They all lived in Timberhill twp. before their deaths. Thanks! ~irene hale
