Obituary of RUTH N. FURTHMYER
Ruth N. Furthmyer, 87, Russell, died Thursday, March 17, 2002, at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita.
 

She was born August 15, 1814 at Ellsworth, the daughter of Tony and Maude Hrabik.
Ruth married Orville L. Furthmyer, January 18, 1937, at Gorham. He died December 12, 1999.

She was a homemaker who lived her early life in the Ellsworth area. After her marriage she lived on a farm south of Gorham, moving to Russell in 1967.
Ruth was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Russell.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers, Joe and Glen Hrabik; and a sister, Faye LeTulle.

Survivors include; one son, Larry Furthmyer, Gorham; and one stepgrandson.

Funeral service was held at 10 a.m. Monday, March 18, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Russell, with Fr. Charles Steier officiating.

Burial was at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Gorham.
Memorials are suggested to St. Mary's Catholic Church or for masses, in care of Pohlman's Mortuary who was in charge of the services.
