Laura M. Schneider, 85, of WaKeeney, died Saturday, April 9, 2011, at the Trego County-Lemke Memorial Hospital, in WaKeeney.

She was born Dec. 22, 1925, in rural Trego County to Gordon William and Etta Jane (Elliott) Lane. She married Jacob Schneider on Jan. 6, 1946. He preceded her in death Aug. 30, 2000.
Survivors include three sons, Jim Schneider and Dave Schneider and wife, Sandy, and Bill Schneider and wife, Joyce; two daughters, Betty Schreiner and husband, John, and Beth Billinger and husband, Glennis; two sisters, Kitty Kerr and Pearl Stoppel; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a great-grandson.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, WaKeeney; burial in WaKeeney City Cemetery.
