7/4/1937 — 3/13/2008Delores (Dechant) Riedel, 70, Hays, died Thursday, March 13, 2008, at Hays Good Samaritan Center. She was born July 4, 1937, in Liebenthal to Cornelius and Ursela (Legleiter) Dechant. She was a 1955 graduate of Girls Catholic High School. She married Donald A. Riedel on June 17, 1961. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church, WaKeeney.

Survivors include four sons, Glenn Riedel and wife, Tammy, and Donnie Riedel, Darran Riedel and wife, Loriand, and Guy Riedel, two daughters, Diedra Riedel, and Desiree Brady and husband, Steve, three brothers, Emerald and Harry, and Virgil, five sisters, Bernice Schaffer, Peggy Norris, Rosie Giesick, Carol Werth and Jeanette Gabel, 18 grandchildren, Courtney, Cindy, Catie, Clayton Riedel, Aubrey, Alexis, Adelle Riedel, Emily, Tiffany, Kristi and Austin Duncan, Alexander, Adrianna and Ayden Brady, and Blake, Brock, and Blaine Riedel; and two great-grandchildren, Karlee and Lane Fairless
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, a twin, Donnie, and LaVerne, a sister, Mary Ann Meder, and the father of her children, Donald Riedel, Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Liebenthal; burial in St. Joseph Cemetery.
