Threse Christine Mong, was born on December 31, 1953 in Hoxie, Kansas to George Louis & Ferma Jean (Fox) Oelke. She passed away at her home in Ogallah on Sunday, December 28, 2008 at the age of 54.

She graduated from Hoxie High School, Brown Mackie Business College in Salina, Ks. & Barton County Community College in Great Bend, Ks. She worked as a medical records clerk & a CAN at the Lutheran Home in WaKeeney.
On May 7, 1977, Threse was united in marriage to Clarence Lee Mong in WaKeeney. He passed away September 26, 1999.
Threse enjoyed hobbies such as sewing, playing cards, canning vegetables from her garden, collecting elephants, owls, & angels, & reading her Bible.
Survivors include three daughters, Melisa S. Mong, Sharla A. Weatherman & husband, Larry, Clarence Mong, five stepdaughter, two grandchildren, three brothers, William & Louis Oelke, Bruce Oelke & wife, Gloria, four sisters, Minnie Mong, Jean Aumiller & husband, Winslow, Linda Schoenthaler & husband, Kenny, Lorraine Harward & husband, John & many nieces & nephews.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Clarence; an infant daughter, Marla Jan Oelke.
Burial in the WaKeeney City Cemetery, in WaKeeney, Kansas.
