FATAL FALL While herding cattle on wheat pasture Sunday morning, Van McCants was
thrown from his horse, and lighting on his head, sustained injuries
which rendered him unconscious, The accident happened about nine-thirty
and except for a short interval of consciousness, he died at the St.
Lukes Hospital, Wellington, KS Monday afternoon at about three o'clock
without gaining consciousness. The accident is indeed a sad one cutting off a life in the full bloom
of young manhood and leaving a sorrow stricken young widow with only the
promises of a better life and the never dying memories of a happy
companionship during a short earthly pilgrimage as a consolution. May time
be kind to her in her deep sorrow. Submitted by Judy Mayfield
