Sept, 1922. Died 19 April 1972 in Topeka KS. Buried in Halfday
Cemetery. His first wife was named Doris lived in Topeka. I have
written a letter to the Shawnee Co Coroner's office about getting
a copy of the Autopsy report. No reply thus far. My uncle was
kind to me as a child, and now one of his nephews who never knew
him is asking questions. Could someone tell me where to write to
obtain an obit. Or, if what my cousin has been told, is true a
copy of the police reports concerning my Uncle Glenn's death All

He came to Kansas via the Emigrant Aid Company of Mass, in Nov.
1854. Was part of the original Topeka (Breckenridge, Shawnee
County) town association. Moved to Emporia (Lyon County) in 1858
then to Arkansas City in 1872. Was Editor of his youngest son's
(Albert Timothy) news paper, the Arkansas Valley Democrat, from
1881 to 1897, was police judge, served one term in the Kansas
House of Representatives in 1872, was doorman at the Kansas
Constitutional Convention in 1858? Married Catherine Jane Hill of
Claremont, NH in 1841, had 3 sons George Henry, Charles Martin,
Albert Timothy, and one daughter Betsy Jane. Died at Topeka State
Hospital Nov 10, 1910.

b. 1844, Wilton, NH, d. 1921, Arkansas City, KS. (Cowley County)
He came to Kansas with his parents, Timothy and Catherine Jane
McIntire via the Emigrant Aid Company of Mass, in Nov. 1854, and
settled in what is now Topeka, KS. (Brekenridge, Shawnee County).
He moved with is parents to Emporia (Lyon County) in 1858 where
he lived on a farm south and east of Emporia. He ran the farm
with his father and bought land in the area before 1872. In 1872,
he moved to Arkansas City with his family and in 1884 became
Cowley County Sherrif in Winfield KS (Cowley County). Through the
years, he served as policeman, police judge, and Justice of the
Peace in Arkansas City. He Married Mary Rozella Champlin
in Emporia, KS about 1856. He had one son,
George Albert McIntire, and several sisters. He died in Arkansas
City in 1921. He had two brothers, Albert Timothy and Charles
Martin McIntire, and one sister Betsy Jane Osgood.

City, KS. (Cowley County) He came to Kansas with his parents,
Timothy and Catherine Jane McIntire via the Emigrant Aid Company
of Mass, in Nov. 1854, and settled in what is now Topeka, KS.
(Brekenridge, Shawnee County). He moved with is parents to
Emporia (Lyon County) in 1858 where he lived on a farm south and
east of Emporia. In 1872, he moved to Arkansas City where he grew
up. He worked for the Arkansas City Traveler (newspaper) and
started a number of ventures in the newspaper trade. In 1879 he
purchased the Arkansas Valley Democrat an 8 page weekly newspaper
in Arkansas City, and in 1881 hired his father, Timothy, to be
the editor. He sold the news paper in 1897. Over the years, he
either established or tried to establish newspapers in Ark City
(Cowley county), Cedar Vale, KS (Chitaqua County) and in various
places in Cowley County. He later worked for the city of Arkansas
City and started a number of other business ventures. He and some
business partners floated a boat down the Arkansas River with an
eye toward establishing comercial trade on the river. He married
Laura May Gregg in
Arkansas, KS He died in Arkansas City in 192?. He had two
brothers, Albert Timothy and George Henry McIntire, the local
constabulary at the time, and one sister Betsy Jane Osgood.

in Topeka Kansas. moved to Lewis Kansas in spring 1903 married

1891 three children Edith Allan and Esther Edith married Harry Fulkerson
of Hoisington Kansas Allan married ? lived
in Great Bend Kansas then in Wichita. Esther died young.Sarah
died 1904. Family looked after by sister Annie Minerva Corl.
(born September 10th 1866 Fremont Ohio) Annie married James Sutherland
August 11th 1908 James was a Member of Odd Fellows Lodge and
others. Both were members of The Christian Church. Carpenter to
trade and a skilled one it seems by his obit. Died June 6th 1928
in Lewis. I believe Allan had a son Wayne (lived in Lewis) who
has two children. They will be around forty to fifty years old
now. (don't know their names except Sutherland obviously) Annie
died May 27th 1954 in Hutchinson aged 87 Annie had a sister

"Prominent and Respected Citizen of Lewis for Over 20 Years
Succombed to Long Illness"There must be some

still around Kansas I hope. Family tree in

George, John, Henry and William and sisters Helen and Jeanie.
Alexander, William and Jeanie can be accounted for. Where others

Julius Fuller in 1860 in Ohio. They came to IL with Jonathan then
moved to Kansas briefly and settled in Denver, CO. Their sixth
child Flavius Ray Fuller was born Sept 2, 1880 in Topeka Kansas.
Their third child Eva Almira Fuller, born June 18, 1868, in
Athens County, OH married Granville M. Warwick on Oct 28, 1885 in
Topeka, Kansas. I have one child listed for Eva and

Perthinia (last name unknown), and of course they did reside in
Wilkensburg, Allegheny, Pa., but believe they may have came from

1928-1930 Searching for two brothers who were either abandoned
and/or orphaned in the southeastern area of Kansas year of
1928-1930. Edward Otis &;Buddy; ALLIS, (dob
11/25) was may given to a man by the name of FRED
PERRYor was maybe left in the town of Perry,
Jefferson County, Kansas.
The second boy was Lawrence Robert ALLIS,
(dob 2/1929) was left with a woman along the side of the road
when the parents car broke down. They never came back for him,
and may of ended up with a welfare worker by the name of BALES.
Neither boy would probably remember there last name. The oldest
boy may have been given away in exchange for a bad debt. He may
also remember a sister by the name of BERTHA
& BABE ALLIS or a younger brother.The
parents lived in several areas of Kansas during this time period.
They were Lawrence and Baldwin, Douglas county, Atichinson,
Atichinson County, Ottawa, Franklin County and Topeka, Shawnee
county. The fathers name was Lawrence ALLIS.
The mothers name was Hazel (HYATT)ALLIS-PENNINGTON.She
may have been with a man by the name if Ode Pennington when she
still had the two little boys. If this sounds fimiliar to any one
please contact me or if any one can tell me what orphanges may
had existed in these areas during that time period.

moved from Butler County, Ohio to Shawnee County, Kansas in 1873.
I have not found them in any Kansas census. Children probably
included Kent O. BROWN ,
Thane R. BROWN, Edwin H.
BROWN, and Mary Brown SWINGLEY.
Kent may have been an allopathic physician in Topeka. Edwin may
have been allopathic physician in Illinois.. Searching for
information on their location, children and descendants.

looking for any information about the family of John Poyner
and Martha Scott. I know
very little about my great-grandparents. I am told they had 13
children, of which I have the following information on 7 of them.
Jessie James (my grandfather) and Essie Mae Poyner
were twins born either Nov 12, or Nov 18, in 1887 in Topeka,
Shawnee County, Kansas. Jessie died in Carbondale, Oklahoma on
Nov 24, 1964. He married Lena Galenah Carney
on Jan 2, 1910 in Jasper, Newton County, Arkansas. Essie married
twice, I know one husband's name was Charles Linville
Spencer. She died December 16, 1957. Their
sister Martha Poyner died in Arkansas, she married twice first to
Roy Woodruff and second
? Stacey. Annie married
a gentleman by the name of Mance.
There were three brothers George, Frank and Jim. Jim died in
Jasper, Newton County, Arkansas. I would appreciate any help that
anyone could offer on finding out about my Poyner ancestors.

unknown on them. She married George Clark ROGERS
around 1884-85. I have children's names, but no other info on
them. These are my daughter-in-law's family and would very much
