Historic Resources
Inventory Team Safari, Sat. Sept 29 at 9:30 a.m. We
will meet at the MHGS library to review the Kansas Historical Resources
Inventory Program, then form into teams and coordinate
the various teams’ Safari Routes… after the Safari you will return to the MHGS
library and share what your team has found. Bring a digital camera, a hard
writing surface such as a portfolio, a pen and pencil, ruler or measuring tape,
your water bottle and snack(s). Be prepared to walk, at your own pace, two to

Family History and Genealogy, helping attendees to move from a recitation of “begats” to a narrative story off family and community.

family history and community history.

three disciplines/genres relate and support each other.
Understanding the need for
sources and citations across each area.
Preparing to
move between genealogy and history.
