Midwest Historical and Genealogical Society has acquired the admission records of the Wichita Childrens Home through 1990.

A copy of the admission record of a resident is available with the following confidentiality restrictions:

1. Anyone may request a search of the index for a WCH resident. If the
individual is listed they will receive a copy of the admission sheet with any
confidential information blanked out.

2. If the individual requesting the record has been a resident of the home
they may obtain a complete copy of the file by presenting proper personal
identification.

3. If the former resident is no longer living a complete copy of the file
can be obtained upon furnishing proof of death by presenting proper
personal identification.

4. Research requests for the complete file will be reviewed by any two members
of the Wichita Childrens Home committee.

We will check the index and send a copy of the admission record by completing the
request form:
