| Obituary of MAHLON A. HAWKINS |
| Mahlon A. Hawkins, 79, longtime
chiropractor, died Sept. 13 at Hillsboro Community Medical Center. Services were Sept. 17 at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Marion, with Steve Gronert officiating. Burial was at Marion Cemetery. Hawkins was born March 4, 1920, to Mahlon Kell Hawkins and Ann Gerlets in Wichita. On Sept. 20, 1944, he was married to Virgina M. Hawkins, who predeceased him. Survivors include sons, Kelly of Marion and Rick of California; daughters, Michon of Wichita, Jill of California, Cheryl of Hillsboro, Kellene of Newton and Deirdre of Oregon; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A memorial has been established with the International College of Applied Kinesiology, Kansas Chiropractic Association. |
